A new corporate purpose
In the face of social inequalities, the FDJ Corporate Foundation is changing course and is committed to promoting equal opportunities through play in two areas: education and integration.
The areas of intervention are intended to provide solutions to individuals dropping out of education or their social disengagement which disadvantage young people when they begin their working lives. We have observed another inequality: the lack of resources and proficiency in the internet and digital technologies. As such the Foundation wants to further embed itself in society and play an active role in promoting equal opportunities.
For the benefit of all
The FDJ Corporate Foundation's action has a wide range of target groups.
The Foundation wants to enable people in difficulty, irrespective of the reasons (social discrimination, disability, economic exclusion, etc.) to find their place in society, become aware of their potential and express their talents.
In addition to these groups, we also want to raise everyone's awareness to the fact that equal opportunities are relevant to all of us.
Play, strengthening the social fabric
The FDJ Corporate Foundation supports public interest projects using play as a means of delivery (excluding gambling). Play comes in different forms:
- board games
- role play
- digital, etc.
It can be a powerful tool for social integration and innovation, transformation and learning how to live together, building and rebuilding oneself, engagement, learning and awareness-raising.
It also offers a fun and inclusive approach and thus promotes social cohesion and a climate conducive to integration. It's also a means of creating or building self-confidence by downplaying failure and stimulating imagination and creativity.
The main, common objective behind these new missions? Helping individuals become aware of their potential, reveal their talents and improve their daily life by helping them integrate into society.
